HAUNTING MEMORIES: JOHN5 AND PIGGY D
Piggy D. plays bass for Rob Zombie, as well as having his own great solo project and work with the band Black Foxx. He’s also a graphic designer and artist, having designed the cover for a Lita Ford album, among others. His debut solo album, The Evacuation Plan, is worth checking out, and songs like “Locust Dance” and “God Save the Queen Bee” are killer. You’ll be able to hear and see his bass playing prowess on his current tour with Rob Zombie. (more…)
The ultimate abomination. Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson team up for the ‘Twins of Evil’ US and European tour
ROB ZOMBIE AND MARILYN MANSON JOIN FORCES FOR “TWINS OF EVIL” U.S. AND EUROPEAN TOUR
KoRn’s Jonathan “J Devil” Davis will Provide Support on Many U.S. Dates
It had to happen. Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie are hitting the road together this fall, co-headlining the “Twins of Evil” tour. Debauchery, theatrics, ghoulish imagery, and a full-on assault of all the senses are what’s in store for fans when the tour kicks off, first in the U.S. and then with a 10-country sweep through Europe.
Kicking off September 28 when both Zombie and Manson co-headline the first day of the Desert Uprising Festival in Phoenix, Arizona, expect defiant rock’n'roll showmanship in the form of these unholy rollers with the first U.S. date wrapping in Dallas on Halloween, October 31. For ticket on sale and purchasing info, log onto www.marilynmanson.com.or www.robzombie.com.
“Finally! Why did the most obvious tour take so long to happen? Who knows? Who cares? It’s happening now,” stated Zombie. ”If good taste is the chief enemy of great art, then we should be able to fill the Louvre with this fucking tour. Be prepared for something wicked this way a-coming.”
“I have sympathy for the Whore of Babylon that gave birth to these twins of evil, and this abomination of a tour,” says Marilyn Manson. “There is no babysitter, and there is no repairing her womb. If Rob Zombie doesn’t fuck you up, than I surely will.” ”Hide all drugs and firearms… I’m coming to town,” Manson stated. (more…)
Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson will be performing KUPD’s first annual Desert Uprising show on September 28 (now Ginger knows how he will be spending his birthday). The two day event is the first show to be announced for a late 2012 Rob Zombie tour and more dates will be announced next Friday.
Tickets for Desert Uprising are available to purchase on July 13.
Check out this image of Piggy D performing with Rob Zombie at the PNC Bank Arts Center on May 11 2012
Check out the fantastic shots from photographer David Turcotte of The Full Frame, who chronicled the show on May 11 at the PNC Bank Arts Center.
You can see the full portfolio of this shoot at http://thefullframe.org/2012/05/15/rob-zombie/
As David notes about the shoot and the show:
Unlike the simple and straight forward stage of openers Megadeth, Rob Zombie pulled all the stops with elaborate pyrotechnics, giant risers and backdrops. Between the skeleton mic stands, projected visuals and motorized monsters on stage, there wasn’t a dull moment in trying to capture the action provided by Rob Zombie and Co. Even the detail of Rob Zombie’s costume was something of a spectacle if you look closely enough.
Rob Zombie fans, you will be pleased to know a few more dates have been added to the Tour Page for the forthcoming dates between Zombie and Megadeth.
The new dates are 13 May at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD and May 19th at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in St Louis, MO.

Rob and the band will be hitting the road with Megadeth shortly for a co-headling tour which will include hitting up Rocklahoma and Rock on the Range.
